Language week in Malta

From 4th to 11th March the classes 4A, 4B and 4W went on a language trip to Malta with Ms. Schilbach, Ms. Gasser and Ms. Stella-Leban. We were lucky to have pleasingly warm weather throughout the entire week. Moreover, living with local host families gave us a good insight into the Maltese lifestyle.

During our stay we were able to enhance our English skills at ESE (European School of English), which is located in the center of St. Julians. Furthermore, we visited the most famous and well-known cities Valletta, Mdina & Rabat, Marsaxlokk, Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua, Sliema and Msida. There we enjoyed very informative and intriguing guided tours. Not only these impressive places were to our delight, but also the trips to Golden Bay and the Blue Grotto. Additionally, throughout the whole week we had the chance to try typical Maltese food. “Pastizzi”, for example, are puff pastry filled with ricotta, peas or chicken. Delicious!

Overall, the fourth graders were happy to have had the chance to go abroad and learn for life.

"The language week in Malta was an unforgettable experience that I'll always cherish. The island was beautiful, the people were friendly, and the language school was top-notch. I was able to practice my English skills in a variety of settings, from the classroom to social activities and excursions. I also made new friends from all over the world. It was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone."
